It is not often that you find a website featuring powerful works of poetry, art and music, yet Jeremiah Castelo has developed such a site that promotes all of his artistic talents in “Psalms and Psychoses”. The combination of two apparently non-related subjects actually offers brilliant insight into the mind and talents of this young artist.
“Psalms” is for this favorite book of the bible, reflecting the poetry and struggles of its author, King David. While “Psychoses” reflects the fascination that Jeremiah has with the human mind and how it can be affected by ailments, substance abuse and a number of different events. As a person who once worked in a psych ward and struggled with his own inner demons, Jeremiah has a wealth of insight that belies his young age.

Certainly a highlight of the Psalms and Psychosis website is the presentation of his songs from his Every Part of Mine album. From the scintillating “Clockwatching” to the reflective power of “Crawling Through November” and ending with the shimmering “Vaughn and Vulnerability”, you hear a man wise beyond his years express his inner vision on these remarkably produced songs.

While Jeremiah’s musical talents are quite considerable, his artistic vision when it comes to paintings and drawings are also quite profound. In fact, Jeremiah was actually drawing and painting even before the musical part of his life fully developed inside him. Here, you get to view some of his artistic work alongside remarkable photographs of Jeremiah in performance of his musical gifts.

The poetry written by Jeremiah is also quite revealing of his inner soul as well. Presented in a simple and easy to read format that allows the visitor to pick and choose from the sampling of poems present, Jeremiah has written some extraordinary, insightful works that taps into his experiences.
